Aeroponic Misting System

Misting Direct has invented the first truly high pressure commercial duty aeroponics pump. This system actually contains two pumps, a high pressure triplex plunger pump with a continuous duty motor and a low pressure filtration pump. This system is capable of drawing nutrient solution from a reservoir and pressurizing it to up to 1000 PSI at up to two gallons per minute. A built in adjustable pressure regulator allows the pressure to be set from 600 to 1000 PSI. Our Aeropump comes complete with triple stage low surface area filtration and can be connected to a variety of plug-in timers designed for the aeroponics industry.

When creating mist at high pressures the nutrient solution is atomized into extremely tiny droplets, this allows for maximum oxygen absorption and delivery to the roots.

AEROPONICS is the process of growing plants with the roots suspended in air without the use of soil or an aggregate medium. Aeroponic culture differs from both conventional hydroponics and in-vitro (plant tissue culture) growing. Unlike hydroponics, which use a growing medium and essential minerals to sustain plant growth, aeroponics is conducted without a growing medium. Because water is used in aeroponics to transmit nutrients, it is sometimes considered a type of hydroponics.

High-pressure aeroponic techniques, where the mist is generated by a high-pressure pump and special misting nozzles, are typically used in the cultivation of high value crops, and plant specimens that can offset the high setup costs associated with this method of horticulture. High-pressure aeroponics systems can include technologies for air and water purification, nutrient sterilization, and pressurized nutrient delivery systems.
