The Florida Department of Transportation hired Misting Direct to design and install a humidification system for a concrete testing facility. Each batch of concrete used in structures for bridges and roads in southeast Florida must be cured in this curing room. This custom humidification system has been designed to maintain 100% humidity 24 hour a day 7 days a week. Each core of concrete must be cured in this room for 28 days before being tested for strength. Having a controlled environment is essential for proper testing of the concrete core samples and to ensure the integrity of each batch of concrete.
This humidification system included a Misting Direct brand Industrial Duty Misting Pump with an automatic cycle time and a nozzle circuit consisting of our Welded Stainless Steel Tubing connected with our exclusive line of Double Ferrule Compression Fittings
For an extremely fine mist our top of the line Ruby Misting Nozzles were used on this installation.
